According to scifi George Lucas has been checking the avaliability of australian actor Matthew Newton (28) for the proposed Star Wars TV series. You may have seen him in Queen of the Damned and fellow scifi tv series Farscape.

Apparently he was second choice to play Anakin in Episode 2: Attack of the Clones.

Star Wars Live Action Television Series
"GEORGE LUCAS, the billionaire creator of the Star Wars films, has announced plans for two spin-off television series set in a far-off galaxy long after the final movie instalment of the space saga....

A half-hour animated series will expand on the two Clone Wars mini-series that Lucasfilm has produced for Time Warner’s Cartoon Network. The series would probably be produced at Lucas’s new computer animation facility in Singapore.

That would be followed by the production of a live-action series set after Revenge of the Sith but before the original Star Wars, which was subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope."

Okay, okay so it's a little early for unofficial fan sites and the like, but i've decided to stick this site up to create a central location for news and info on this upcoming series which looks like it *gasp* might actually be happening. Although there isn't much detail at the moment (hell we don't even know what it will be called yet) small snippets are slowly leaking out, so if your interested in the project i hope this site will be of some use to you.
